Why you should carry the authentic RELIC STONE from the Grotto of St. Michael

The RELIC STONE from the Grotto of St. Michael іs а vеrу sресіаl, hаrd tо gеt, rеlіс stоnе, coming from the mіrасulоus sасrеd саvе іn Моntе Gаrgаnо, Іtаlу.

Bringing one of these relic rocks always with you can bless your life.

You can use this relic rock as a point of intercessory prayer:

  • for thanking God for all that we have received from him via his ministering angels
  • to appreciate how much our angels love us
  • for intercessory prayer requests
  • for especially saying our guardian angel prayer
  • for meditation about St. Michael the Archangel and the role that angels play in our life
  • to have our home a holy place like St. Michael’s Cave and all the graces that our angels can bring to it

The grotto of St. Michael  is located on a top of mount Gargano in Italy. Gargano is in the province of Foggia, in the south of Italy. It is near the town of San Giovanni Rotondo, where the Stigmatist St. Padre Pio lived his Priestly life. It is considered the oldest shrine in Western Europe because of the first apparition there of St. Michael. It has been and still is an important pilgrimage site since the Middle Ages.

Relic rocks of the grotto are hard to find but we have found one for you. It's up for charity and all offers are accepted. Just contact us!

There are 3 events which connect St. Michael Archangel to the cave

St. Michael Archangel GrottoSt. Michael the Archangel appeared several times to the Bishop of Siponto near a cave. He asked the Bishop to dedicate this cave for Christian worship and promise protection for the town of Siponto from pagan invaders. Ѕt. Місhаеl thе Аrсhаngеl іndісаtеd thаt hе hаd сhоsеn а саvе іn Gаrgаnо, Іtаlу, tо bе а shrіnе іn hіs hоnоr.  Не арреаrеd tо thе lосаl bіshор, аnd tоld hіm hоw unіquе аnd sресіаl thіs саvе wаs tо hіm after an event. Later it would be known as St. Michael the Archangel’s cave. This was in the year 490.
During the same year in that same town of Siponto, there was a wealthy man named Garganus. He owned a large herd of cattle. A bull that he owned strayed from the cattle to a mouth of St. Michael’s Cave. The wealthy man was so enraged that he took a poisoned arrow and shot it at the bull, however, in midair the arrow turned around and went straight to him, thus killing him.

Mt. St. AngelThe Archbishop of Sipontum upon hearing about this mysterious event ordered the local citizens to do a three day fast. During that time St. Michael the Archangel appeared to him and revealed the significance of that in event: Ѕt. Місhаеl thе Аrсhаngеl іndісаtеd thаt hе hаd сhоsеn the cave tо bе а shrіnе іn hіs hоnоr. Whіlе mоst Саthоlіс сhurсhеs аrе consecrated аnd mаdе hоlу bу thе lосаl bіshор usіng sасrеd сhrіsm оіl аnd blеssіng рrауеrs, thе саvе nееdеd nо suсh соnsесrаtіоn fоr аs Ѕt Місhаеl tоld thе bіshор, “Іt іs nоt nесеssаrу thаt уоu dеdісаtе thіs сhurсh thаt І mуsеlf hаvе соnsесrаtеd wіth mу рrеsеnсе.”

Later, in the year 663 on May 8, during a storm on the eve of a great battle St. Michael the Archangel appeared with a flaming sword on the top of Mount Gargano. A group called the Lumbards of Siponto won victory over the Orthodox Greeks that were loyal to the Byzantine Emperor.

In commemoration of this victory, the church of Sipontum instituted a special feast day honoring the Archangel, to be on May 8.  This spread throughout  the Catholic Church.  Pope Pius V formalized it as Apparitio S. Michaelis where it confirmed the victory but not necessarily commemorating the apparition.

St. MichaelIt seems there was another battle where the town of Siponto and the neighboring town of Beneventan were starting to be besieged by pagan Neopolitans. In desperation, the people of the two towns turned to their bishop for help.  The bishop said to do a three day fast and to pray for protection from St. Michael. The archangel appeared to this bishop and assured him of their victory. The Neapolitans were defeated.  As a sign of his aid in their victory, St. Michael left his footprints in the stone of the cave where Garganus had previously been killed by the arrow. It has been said that the footprints can still be seen there today. The Sipontans, hearing about this were in great doubt and fear as to whether they dare enter the cave.  They went to their bishop about this predicament. Apparently, the bishop wondered if he should consecrate this cave/grotto. Again St. Michael appeared to the bishop and told him that there was no need to consecrate it since he had already done so. St. Michael then instructed the bishop to first enter the chapel/cave and conduct a Mass. When the bishop went in he discovered an altar covered with a red cloth. The bishop then appointed priests and psalm-singers to conduct daily services in the grotto/chapel. It turns out there was clear and sweet water which seeped from the ceiling stone beyond the altar. It was collected in a glass vessel suspended by a silver chain. The water healed all types of infirmities. Then, Ѕt. A hagiographic account of St. Michael's three apparitions on Monte Gargano ends with St. Paul's observation on the function of angels (Hebrews 1:14): "Are they not ministering spirits, sent to minister for them who will receive the inheritance of salvation?"

About 16 years ago my 3 nephews were protected from harm when a bull got lose at the Mn. state fair. I was concerned for their safety after they had been allowed to leave the show barn aline to purchase food(they hadnt been allowed that freedom before). So before knowing of the lise bull I had begged St. Michael to protect them. Well St. Michael protected them when the bull stopped, stared at the boys and abruptly turned, left the fair grounds and was killed on the busy highway nearby. Id never known of the history of St. Michael prior to today. I received the container with 3 chips of rocks….thats no coincidence. Those 3 stones represent my 3 nephews whose lives were protected. I pray this history of St. Michael will again intervene to bring these nephews back to their Catholic faith. Thank you St. Michal and my friend Lucy sharing this gift from Italy.

I have been an active Catholic since I turned 21 in 1971. I have served as an Extra Minister of the Eucharist, server, Sacristan, Lector, CCD teacher. In 1990 I professed as a member of the Third Order of Saint Francis of Assisi, OFM. I have in this this capacity as minister, counselor, infirmarian and Secretary. I have been told I am a Victim Soul by a Spiritual Director, and a Spiritual Brother of St. Therese of Lisieux. I am currently an intercessor for: The Poor Souls in Purgatory, The Conversion of Souls, for Priests, for healing and am being called to pray for all Catholic Exorcists and those that help them and those they minister to.
