I had bought one of these without knowing any of this, and my thinking was originally I wanted a Crucifix, but when I found this, seeing all 3 made my eyes kind of light up with an I Want, and I think part of it was the idea (subconsciously) that Christ was on that cross, in a lot of pain, and somehow finding it within Himself to forgive during the worst of the pain, and that part was something I have been asking Christ to show me in prayer: How do you forgive someone while they are hurting you knowing they’d probably do it again? But this is slightly better than the average Crucifix because it shows that the Father is there, and the Spirit, and it’s like He wasn’t alone in that moment. But I wasn’t really focused on it. It’s just the feeling I get looking at the image. What I was really after is I needed something powerful. There’s power in that three. And I found one that was blessed by the Pope giving it more power. And I needed a very powerful protection. Now much of what I’ve read in this article is part of my faith. That truth / love is constant / eternal. And more importantly, Truth / Love is the only thing that is worth the pain. But in my spiritual journey, I have felt very alone in recent years. And I felt like that to a point where I pretty much decided even if God isn’t with me, and even if God doesn’t want me, even if I’m not good enough, even when all my faith and hope is gone, I decided the eternal idea of Truth / Love is worth believing in, even if He doesn’t believe in me.
