Created in the 1950s by Abresch, the Pope's private photographer, this holy card was a token of gratitude given to those who made offerings to support the construction of the hospital founded by St. Padre Pio. La Casa della Sofferenza, inaugurated on May 5, 1956, remains one of the most advanced hospitals in Europe, a living testament to the saint's compassion and dedication to alleviating suffering.
